Fees & Payments

When our pets get ill, it is most often sudden, unexpected, stressful and upsetting. We recommend that all pets are insured so that this reduces any additional stress and worry the cost of treatment may bring. We deal with direct and in-direct claims, however we ask for direct claims to be discussed with the Veterinary Surgeon before the treatment. You will need to provide us with your insurance policy schedule, we may request pre-authorisation from your insurance company. Please be aware that you are responsible to cover any fees or amount not covered or paid by your insurance company.

All payments are required at the time of treatment of an animal, on discharge if they have been admitted with us for the day or when collecting medication/food. Any concerns regarding payments must be discussed with the vet prior to any treatment.

We are happy to provide estimates for all treatments; please ask a member of the team. Please remember that all estimates are only an approximate calculation of the treatment and are subject to change. We will contact you if there are going to be any large changes with your estimate. We aim to be as open and transparent as possible with our charges and charging structure.

As we cannot know how a problem will progress we are unable to charge a set fee upfront for any particular complaint. This means that re-examination consults are chargeable and not included in the initial consult fee.

Initial consult fee £45.00 incl.VAT
2nd consult fee £40.00 incl.VAT

The consultation fee is not merely a reflection of the time spent with the veterinary surgeon. The fees charged reflect the costs of overheads, procedures, support staff, equipment maintenance and replacement.

There may be a charge for administrative fees such as processing insurance direct claims or making a referral to a specialist.

We offer vaccination courses to both Puppies and kittens as well as annual boosters. Every vaccination includes a full health check of your pet. We also send out vaccination reminders in the post when your pet is due their annual vaccination.
